Understanding the economy · ages 10+ · bilingual
The Business Guinea Pigs
Economics and politics for kids ages 10+, told as bilingual everyday adventures with four talking guinea pigs. Taxes, contracts, profit, wages, inflation and shares: each volume explains one big topic through a story from everyday life, in German and English, and each one can be read on its own.
Why this series exists: Because kids are surrounded by money, prices and taxes every day, and hardly anyone explains to them how it all fits together. Knowledge that school leaves out.

About the author
Daria Helck
Daria Helck writes because she sees gaps and fills them. This leads to very different books for curious kids and teens: stories that explain how the economy works, activity and puzzle books, workbooks and memory books. One thing connects them all: they take their readers seriously and meet them at eye level.
